If you are like a lot of truck owners, you probably get tired of having to clean your windshield all the time. Luckily, there are ways that you can keep your truck's windshield clean without constant washing. This can help you keep your truck looking its best and can save you a lot of time and aggravation, especially if your truck is high off of the ground and if your windshield is difficult to reach. Give these tips a try for increased visibility and appearance.

Install a Hood Guard

If you have not yet installed a hood guard on your truck, you should think about doing so. You can purchase a hood guard from the dealership or from any store that specializes in selling custom truck parts. Basically, the hood guard will help prevent bugs and debris from getting on your hood and windshield. Plus, a lot of people love the way that hood guards look.

Use the Right Windshield Washer Fluid

You might think that all windshield washer fluid is created equally,  but some brands are better than others. By investing in a good windshield washer fluid, it will be easy to clean your windshield with the flick of a button or lever. Look for one that has a low freezing point and that has a high concentration of alcohol for best results.

Use a Rain Repellent

Although you will have to apply it by hand, rain repellent can be great for keeping your windshield clean. Basically, it will cause water and mud to run off of your windshield as quickly as possible, which can help prevent water or mud spots. Plus, you can enjoy better visibility when it is raining outside, so rain repellent is great for safety. You should be able to find it at any auto parts store or even at a gas station.

Change Your Windshield Wiper Blades Regularly

Windshield wiper blades are inexpensive and easy to change, and keeping a good pair on your vehicle at all times is a good way to keep your windshield clean. If you notice that your windshield wiper blades are starting to drag on your windshield or tear, it's time to buy a new set.

As you can see, there are a few things that you can do to keep your truck's windshield nice and clean. Follow these tips, and you can save yourself a lot of hard work.
